The rooms at Umasari Rice Terrace Villa are amazing! They have a semi-open en-suite bathroom with a full shower, which gives you a unique experience. The large terrace with furniture is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. It really feels like staying in a traditional Balinese house, which I absolutely loved. The room is also quite spacious at 42sqm, providing plenty of space to move around. The bathroom is also impressive with a shower and a bathtub. And let's not forget the external gazebo/hut overlooking the beautiful gardens and pool, it's just perfect. Some rooms even offer a view of the river or garden. the room experience was wonderful and exceeded my expectations.
Personally, I found the seating area in some rooms to be a bit small. However, this is just my opinion, and others may still find it comfortable and enjoyable.

The location of the hotel was incredible. It was in the middle of a small village surrounded by rice fields, which was such a beautiful and peaceful setting. The walk to our room through the jungle was like something out of a movie. Plus, being so close to the active rice terraces was a unique experience that we loved.
The bathroom had a bit of mold, which was a problem for one of our group who is sensitive to it. We tried everything to remove it, but nothing worked, so we had to leave after a couple of hours.

From the ritual offering making class to the traditional cooking session, we truly immersed ourselves in the Balinese culture. The staff were patient and knowledgeable, teaching us the intricacies of Balinese cooking and the importance of offering making. We also enjoyed the gambelan and dancing classes, where we learned traditional Balinese dance moves. It was a truly unique and enriching experience that added a special touch to our family vacation.
For dads, it would be great if there were more activities specifically tailored to children.

We had an incredible stay at this hotel. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. They were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the local culture. The room was spacious, with a beautiful semi-outdoor bathroom that had a unique rainbow effect under the shower when the sunlight hit it. The bed was large and comfortable, and we were impressed that the hotel used glass bottles instead of plastic. The hotel's location was fantastic, nestled in a valley of rice fields and next to a river. We enjoyed watching the sunset over the rice fields from the lovely riverside pool.
Nothing to complain about at all.

Spent Christmas at this villa and it was amazing! Loved the peaceful and serene environment, surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful rice fields. the private bale for each room was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view. the swimming pool, although a short walk away, overlooked the rice fields and was worth it. the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and the rooms were comfortable and showcased the true Balinese lifestyle with open roof bathrooms. Mineral water, tea, and coffee were provided and the room was cleaned daily.
The lack of soundproofing in the garden villa was a disappointment as we could hear our neighbors' conversations. the service was inconsistent at times, with long wait times for breakfast and missing items from the menu.
